Dog, vomiting

Have a 1 1/2 yr male lab.  Eats well, Royal Canin labrador food 2x a day.  lately he has been throwing up bile 4-5 AM.  otherwise fine.  Today he at around 8AM and threw it all up around 1 PM.  Thew up all his food and some bile.  I made some white rice and gave him 1 cup around 2:30. He has thrown that up and also threw up rice given to him for dinner.  Would like some advice on how to treat him .. No food for 12-24 hrs ?

Yes I would suggest withholding food but not water for a 24 hour period and then working back into food slowly, using the rice is a decent idea.  This will allow his digestive system some time to recover a bit.  If the vomiting continues for a day or more I would suggest having him examined by your veterinarian to make sure that it is no more than a simple digestive upset.
