My dog ate two small containers...

Question
My dog ate two small containers of chocolate. Probably about 8 pieces of
candy. She weighs about 40 pounds. At what point does it become a problem?
What type of signs should I look for before I take her to the vet? I've
heard chocolate is very bad for dogs. Is it true? Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

        Erika

Answer
HI Erika!

it depends on the chocolate! the more expensive, the more pure the chocolate, the more likely a problem can occur.

call you local vet to see what they would like to do.

in the mean time, watch for lethargy, seizures, and vomiting.

many dogs eat some chocolate and nothing happens, some dogs are supersensitive to it.

hope this helps!
