Then saturday he got up and started to throw up. He threw up all day loneg. Even if he drank water everything came up. He would not eat or anything like that. I try to take him out to go do his business and after he did he flop down righ on the grass would not move. Sunday morning this morning he poop on the bed he never ever did that before. He had to go to the bath room again and then he walk to my grandkids play room and had the runns it was light brown. Since then he would not get off the bed he drinks only get the tip of his tongue wet and that is it. When I would touch his paws really hard he would not do nothing. He is diabetic and has been for 5 years and nothing like this has ever happen before. He is totally blind from the diabetic. Do you think my dog could of suffer some kind of a stroke? I know you cannot really hlep me I know I have to take him to the vet in which I am going to do the first thing in the morning. But nothing like this has ever happen before. And when I talk to him he can barely open up his eyes to me. I do notice that he trys to kick his back legs to try to move and he has a hard time. I love snoopy so very much and I do not want nothing to happen to snoopy. He is very much spoil and very much loved.

Answer
Belinda,
I don't know if Snoopy had had a stroke but you need try to get him to eat something. DON'T give him his shots if he hasn't eaten anything at all or he will go into a diabetic coma. Get him to eat first then if he eats his whole dinner then give him his shot. You might want to give him less then his normal dosage.

If he won't drink water put some ice cubes in his water bowl for him to lick up. Some dogs like that. If he won't lick those then try to get some water in him with one of your syringes after you take off the needle. It will take a few of those to get enough water into him but he needs it. It is good that you are taking him to the vet's in the morning. I don't really know what is wrong but diabetic dogs do have things happen to them that people don't even have when they are diabetic. IT sounds to me like he is having a problem with his blood sugars and possibly his electrolyte balance is off.

You might want to try to give him a little spoonful of corn syrup or honey on a spoon if you have some and see if that helps him to feel better. Do you monitor his glucose levels? What has his level been today?
Get some food into him, some water and some honey and then keep him warm until you can get him to the vets in the morning.
