puppy born without scalp/hair

We have a puppy that was born Monday ,Jan 31. The puppy has a portion of it's scalp/hair on the head missing.Looks partally bald.  Will this effect the puppies health or will the scalp/hair grow as the puppy matures? It seems to be striving and no other problems..

Hi Sundi,
This puppy definitely needs to see a veterianrian asap.  The missing portion of scalp/hair is bound to cause major, life threatening problems.  Deep tissue infection would be my number one concern.  Your veterianrian may simply stitch the open portion so that the scalp will heal closed.
