Cat glands

Can cats get swollen glads along the jawline?  If so, what would it feel like and what causes it?

Answer
Lymph nodes are located in about the same place as ours.  Their "glands" would be at the back of the jaw/neck area. Normally the lymph nodes will be pea size and not very noticeable, when they are enlarged they can be as large as grapes.  Enlarged lymph nodes can be due to a variety of reasons...most comnonly viral or bacterial infections such as Feline Leukemia, FIV and Upper Respiratory Infection as well as dental or ear infections or even cancer.
