---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: they have been there for about 6 days now and appear to be healing up. She is 18 months old. We switched her from her puppy food3 months ago and then to a sensitive stomach food because my husband had noticed she not eating and was throwing up a few times with the new food. We took her off the new food and went back to the old food and the sores are healing. SO by switching back to her regular food, it appears it must have been an allergy unless you can think of anything else. Thanks

Answer
Puppy food has way too much protein for an older dog anyway. I am glad you switched her back. You need to feed them separately at least until the younger one is a year old and can eat adult food.

You have not told me how old she is so I am guessing over a year. Keep her on the current food - I think you are right on track and it was a reaction to the new food. That doesn't always mean an allergy but an intolerance.
