Question
I am Reshmi 36 years of age from india, i remembered when i was about 15 years of age, my pet cat died as i atteneed to her. She, was having a train of fits before she died, and i noticed a change in her voice and she meowed, i attended to the pet a long time and now when i think of it, i feel worried as she may have ,  been suffering from rabies, and i was touching and stroking her all the time, till she died, and i wrapped her too around a towel and put her in a box on top of my bed., what will cause such symptoms, other than rabies in a cat? , it makes me worried , when i think about it,, Thanking you.. Reshmi

Answer
I am not sure why you are concerned now. You did not get Rabies from her. Rabies is transmitted by bites, so she would have had to bite you.
What you describe can be very common just before death. It can be one of the signs of Rabies, but I would need a lot more information and even then would only be guessing.

Not to worry.
