reaction to vaccine

my 1 yr old male cat spooky was taken in to the vet yesterday and recieved a 3yr rabies and also a distemper shot. he has been hiding under the bed since. did use the litterbox this am. also i got him to drink a good amt of water. he will eat if i bring it to him but won't go get it himself. this is very frightening to me. the vet said give him 1 baby asprin. i did this 1/2 hr ago. how long do i wait to call her back if i see no improvement?

Hi Christy,
    It is normal for your pet to be lethargic/tired/and somewhat sore for the next 2-3days after receiving vaccines. What's not normal is vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and or hives. I'd give him till about Monday into Tuesday to see if he improves. Take care and thanks for the question.
