It all depends on what type of epilepsy you mean. Is it a general or partial seizure? How often does it happen? How long does it last? It may be caused by metabolic, toxic, degenerative diseases, neoplasia, head trauma, etc. Would you please be more specific on what you are experiencing with your dog, and whether you have seen a vet, had any tests done, etc?   

About the lung worm, the incidence is variable, depends on the parasite causing it. Some types are only seen in some parts of the world, while others may be worldwide.
