Young cat with swelled breasts and pain and loss of appetite

Question
Hi,
my cat is about 9 months old. We've observed she has lost her appetite (does not want to eat), even though she is clearly hungry and would like to eat, but she doesn't... She has big swellings on the stomach, around each breast. She is still friendly, purrs like a healthy cat, jumps normally, but she has lost weight. I believe she shows signs she is in pain. This is the second day she won't eat.
I've tried to force-feed her with a raw egg. I fed her so that she could not spit the food out. This is unpleasant for her, but she does not run away from me and even purrs after force-feeding.
Do you have some suggestion what this might be? Is this hormonal? Maybe false pregnancy?

Answer
If she has swellings on each breast and they are circular, in other words her nipples are swollen, then she is pregnant. If she has lost weight then it's possible she has absorbed her fetuses or aborted them. If she has abnormal looking swellings, like lumps that are not smooth and look the same, then you need to get her into the vets asap.

If she hasn't been tested for leukemia she should be. Cats as young as none months old or even 9 weeks old can have lymphoma, which is a form of leukemia and usually shows up as lumps on the belly, the neck/jaw area and they usually have them internally, especially in the stomach, which makes them stop eating. They are in a lot of pain with lymphoma and won't most people do not know is that cats will purr when in pain and even while dying. So purring doesn't always mean happy in cat language.

It's time to get her to the vets- like tomorrow. You cannot let her go another day without eating and never give her raw egg. When they are sick raw egg is really bad for them in many ways. Aside from the usual risks of salmonella poisoning, raw egg white binds the B-vitamins up so that they cannot be absorbed by the body.

That is why no one should ever eat raw eggs.

I hope that you find out what is wrong right away from the vet. I hope she will be okay. Please write me back after the vet sees her and tell me what you found out.
She will be in my thoughts.
