QuestionWe found a wonderful kitten. she was dropped off at our farm. After a flea bath and exam the vet said she was in fine shape. We have had her for several months now (she stays inside)We recently noticed that one of her black pads had turned a light pinkish grey color. It doesn't seem to hurt her but I'm worried it may be a sign of something serious.
AnswerA change in pigmnetation of the pad is nothing to be concerned about unless you are also seeing bleeding, crusting, flaking or any other changes of the skin. Is the pad painful at all? If so, it should be seen by your vet. If the pad is otherwise normal then just monitor it. I suspect it is nothing to worry about.
