My dog cleans herself constantly.

Hello. My little dog cleans her private area constantly and I am beginning to worry. Is this normal? She seems healthy and happy. She doesnt lick her butt just her private area. What could this mean?

Hello Victoria:  This could be an obsessive compulsive habit she has developed.  Is there anything you can do to distract her?
What time of the day does she seem to be doing this?  
Also, what food are you feeding her?  What is her breed and age....?
