Question
Hello again Hilary....
regarding my new fuzzball....she's now approx. 7-8 days old. eating vigorously and sleeping soundly.
getting chubby.....lol. ok, this is the question.
baby pees freely when stimulated, but only seems to poop every other day...i'm not worried about that, but when she Does go, its the consistency and color of strained carrot baby food. is this diarrhea??
i understand that if so, that could be dangerous..and a sign of dehydration. I called my local vet, he wasnt concerned, said it was maybe just the formula..(KMR)..and since she's eating so well, how could she be dehydrated?? only once has she produced the described yello/brown soft stool.
should i be concerned??  in all appearances, shes healthy and growing, and very content. just want to be entirely sure. cant have anything go wrong now.......

Answer
Hi Eddie!
I hope this gets to you!  This is the third time I'm trying to reply and all of a sudden, my screen goes blank and the website goes to it's home page.  I have no idea what's going on! lol.
I am so happy to hear the little baby girl is eating like a champ and getting chubby!  These are excellent signs!
As for her feces...I would definitely take in a little stool sample to the veterinarian for him to see first hand and test to make sure that there is nothing wrong.  I, too, wouldn't be overly concerned, as she is eating so well, but getting it checked out wouldn't be a bad idea! The only thing that does slightly concern me is that she should be having about 3 bowel movments per day.  Maybe try stimulating her a little more and see if this helps.  She does seem to be doing very well, so I wouldn't be very worried about it.
To ease your mind, if there were anything seriously wrong, she wouldn't be eating well at all, and she would be crying constantly.  She is eating wonderfully, growing, ect.  Sounds like a healthy little baby to me!
Hang in there and give her tons of kisses for me!
Please let me know how she does!
Hilary
