diabetes or what?

My 7-8 yr old Brittany Spaniel: increased appetite (always hungry),
increased thirst, increased urine output, loss of energy, BUT no weight
loss, is gaining--What do you think?

Of course, we will see our vet--but can't immediately--and alway like
other's thoughts.

May be Cushing's disease.  Best bet is to have a complete blood chemistry screen checked at your vet--make sure he is fasted for 12 hours prior to the blood test.   If her liver values are elevated, then she will need to have a Low Dose Dexamethasone Suppression Test to rule in or out the for Cushing's Disease.  It wouldn't hurt to also have an x-ray done of her abdomen.
