Rasing dogs,

Question
Last year a friend of mine bought an expensive dog..Now he thinks that he and I shouild get a female and breed thm.

I am afraid that there is a lot more involeed in doing this than he knows.

I live in the country and haave the room but am concerned with health issues etc.

There is alot to breeding dogs.  If you are going to get into this, make sure that these dogs are quality specimens or you will breed in bad traits.  There are often issues during pregnancy and during whelping.  Some dogs require C-sections because the female may not be able to deliver naturally.  There are always issues with feeding pups that may not nurse or pups that are unthrifty.  There will be dewormings and vet bills for vaccinations. So read up on breeding dogs and expect it to be expensive.  When you sell the pups, you may net some profit, but not much if you do not sell the pups right away.
