Question
Our dog is a mixed breed-golden, beagle & collie.  She is almost 1 year old. Why does her urine kill my grass?  Is this normal?

Answer
Hello Amanda -

Your pet's urine stains the grass because it has a high pH level. This is very normal for dogs of any age and can be helped naturally. You can puchase supplements to add to her food to reduce the pH balance which in return will not stain your grass.

A good product is called "G-Whiz". It is an all natural based product with Yucca Plant extract. It will neutralize urine and will actually reduce urine, fecal, breath and gas odor. This product works very well, we use it with out Golden Retriever and have had much success. Most pet stores sell it, if not check www.drsfosterandsmith.com, they have it and are very reputable with their pet products.

I hope this information has helped you and your pet.
