Seabae Anemone attacked Carpet Anemone

Question
Ok I have a 29 gallon eclipse 3 reef tank with 2-3 in. of live gravel, 10 lbs. of live rock, and lots of "lace" rock. I also have 2 clowns, 20 blue legged hermits, a orange leg hermit, a Lanka star, brittle star, a sifting sand star, a royal gamma basselet, a fire fish, and 4 assorted damsels. But my problem is with my anemones... My seabae will not stay right side up and doesn't move though and my carpet is or was perfect till all of a sudden the seabae rolled like a wheel to the carpet and stopped on top of it!!! I moved the seabae within half a min. but the carpet now kinda looks like a deflated balloon. (sad) this morning it looked like it was "puffing" back up but I had to leave the house and now its deflated again. Is it dead? Is there any thing I can do to "fix" it?   Thank you so much!!!!

Answer
Hey Kristy

sadly, i think hes a goner. The Carpet must have gotten fatally stung by the Seabae. you can put the carpet in a spare tank if you have one, but i would not keep him in the main tank, it is too much of a risk to your other livestock if it dies.
