Green Star Polyps

QUESTION: My Green star polyps once were open and growing, now they are closed. I did a major water change and they open up very very little. What should I be checking for in the water, or adding? I want to add Xenia but don't want to add anything until I know what i am doing. Thanks.

I don't know, you tell me! You haven't even told me your parameters so I can't diagnose the situation.

How do you expect me to know anything about your tank if you don't tell me.

I need your parameters.

Give me your salinity, water change scedule, nitrate, ammonia/nitrite if any, temperature, other fish in the tank...etc. I need to get an idea of what your tank is before I can even begin to help with the question. You give me the parameters and scedule and I'll tell you the problem.

Or give me nothing and I'll give you a random guess. Because it could be one of many things.
