I have a leather that is about 4 years old. I'ts about the size of a football .My tank started to grow green hair algae. It was growing on my leather I took a tooth brush and cleaned it off.After a few days the leather is just laying on i'ts side with the lights on or off is it dying ??? Please Help

Good question.

With Leathers, they can get aggravated and give a limp-like appearance for a while, along with keeping their polyps retracted, which can be caused from excessive touching, handling, and definitely from brushing. However Leathers are extremely hardy, and with time, it should come around. It may take up to a couple of weeks before it starts to fully heal, and perk up again...

Regarding lighting, you can keep the lights on their regular scheduled time, as you normally would.
