Coraline Algae

Hello,

I know that the purple algae is good, but am I supposed to leave it be and let it take over or could I mix it up in the water?  It's starting to take over and it looks bad, someone told me to leave it alone.  Will it ever slow down?  What should I do?  Thanks!

leave it on the rocks by all means but i think it always looks nicer with clear, clean glass. its tough stuff, as you probably know, so get a blade scraper.

if you do want to keep it under control on the rocks why not get a small tuxedo urchin to eat it for you. reserch their acclimatisation procedures as it differs from fishes, it will soon be eating it off the rocks.
