One more question haha...once I get all this going. Will I ever have to buy more marine salt? I mean outside of water changes does the salt I initially put in ever go bad?

Hi again! The only thing you will need salt for is your partial water changes. As water evaporates out of your tank the salt stays in there. This will cause the salinity to rise so you will need to keep your tank topped off with fresh water to maintain a proper salinity. But I guess that is not what you were asking. Oh well now you won't be asking me that one :) ! No, the salt does not go bad. You only need more salt for your partials.
