Question
hello, i want to get a new fish my problem is i have a six line wrasse and a yellow tail damsel. i got a bicolor dottyback the other day and he was killed in one day. however i just floated the bag for 15 minutes then put the fish in. i was thinking of getting a marroon clown, a damsel, goby but this time i would take the two agressive fish out and put them in a fish breeder to let the new fish ajust to the tank would thank work. also will the fish i like have a problem with my firefish.  thanks

Answer
Hi Ben,

Good questions.

By using a large enough breeder net inside your aquarium, you could keep your new arrivals inside for about a week. This will give your resident fish plenty of time to get use to them.

Regarding damsels, I would not mix two different species together in the same aquarium.

The firefish are a peaceful fish. If you have a very aggressive fish, you may want to reconsider.

I wish you the best of luck with all your saltwater aquarium endeavors.

Regards,
David
