What is the optimum temperature for a 75 gallon reef aquarium?

Hi Kelly. For any reef aquarium the optimum temperature should fall between 80-84 deg F. (27-29 deg C.). This is the average temperature for most reefs in the ocean. Just as a note the lethal temperatures, that is the temperature limits that will kill most reef dwellers is 41 deg F.(5 deg C.)at the lower limit and 115 deg F.(45 deg C.) at the higher end. Corals cannot sustain life at these temperatures and will die within minutes. In nature there are no coral reefs in any water with an annual average temperate below 65 degrees F.
