What type of water do clown fish need? Can they live in a bowl or does it have to be a tank? Does the water need to be really clean?

Saltwater fish keeping is not something you jump into.

If you are asking questions like that you obviously haven't been doing very much research, that is just sad.

Get some books, research online, join a forum, and maybe after 8 months of solid research you'll be ready for a clownfish.
