i just started a reef tank not too long ago and was wondering if i was able to get a purple lobster to help cycle my tank

You dont want to use any live creatures like that to cycle. to cycle, leave your live rock in the tank for a month. test the water parameters then, and if theyre clear, youre good to go with a fish or 2. until then, do not add livestock
