Question
I'm concerned about my new coral beauty i just purchased.  It was about a day after i put her into my tank i noticed she was swimming very rapidly and rubbing up against rocks.  i quickly put her into another tank in fear she would infest my other fish.  I have been observing her and i don't see any white spots, but she is still rubbing on a rock we have in the tank, and seems to be affecting her right gill.  The gill is grey and seems flaky.  I can't tell if it's a disease or if she is just damaging herself from all the rubbing. she also seems to be pale and not as vibrant as when i bought her, and lately she has been flailing her fins. i have been testing the water constantly to make sure it isn't poor water quality.  i don't want to diagnose her wrong and give her wrong treatment.  please help if you can.

Answer
Could you please tell me your water parameters, and your other stocking, and anything else you can tell me about your tank.

Until I know those things, the only thing right now I can recommend is to do what you are doing now. Quarentine her. Feed high quality, garlic enriched foods, and keep the water very stable and very clean.
