saltwater tank critters

I have this small critters climbing on the glass that seem to be eating the algae. They are slightly oval in shape at the glass and they come to a point on their backs. They move very,very slowly. They are approximately 1/8 to 3/16 of a inch in  measurement. About 1/8 inch in height Light in color around the foot area. Dark toward the point. Have any ideas? They seem to do better than the snails for their size. Am trying to find out more about them but don't know what class to begin looking. Thanks for any help.

Hi Dana,
Without a picture I cant be sure, but it sounds like you have baby Cerith snails, maybe Tongan snails working your glass. If you can get a picture that would be great, if not try a google image search for each and see if thats what you have. Either way, Bonus! Gotta love free additions to the clean up crew!
