Emperator w/cloudy eye

Question
Hello, Scott. It's Sat, 3/13, and I just got done w/another water change. My Emperator's eye is almost all clear. Whether it was the PimaFix or just that the MelaFix took 4 weeks to work (and I never missed a day, even weekends), I guess I'll never know. I've also been reading up and refreshing myself with the basics, so I won't be so intimadated by my ICU tank. Wish I could just "download" all this info into my brain. I find it all very interesting, though. Thanks for being out there.  Joyce @ Perfater Law Offices, Charleston, WV -------------------------

Hello, Scott. Coming back about my Emperor Angel. The Melafix isn't working, not in the least, and he's getting worse. It's been 8 days of treatment, as you suggested, and I've been using the Melafix for 3 weeks now, except for last weekend when I was doing the water change and charcoal. I can tell he's having difficulty seeing food (only 1 eye is cloudy), but he's still eating. Any suggestions from here? I do have a ICU tank but, as I mentioned, the last 2 fish I put in there died, and I'm not very confident about it. What can I do to make sure my ICU is a safe place for my fish, if you suggesting getting him out of the tank. Since this all started in January, I tried initially putting Neomycin in the food, then crushed EM tabs in the food, and even an EM treatment of the tank (which I hated doing) along with the Melafix.  Help!!! Answer -
Joyce,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you I was out of town last week and thought that I had set the vacation setting for this thing.  Apparently not.

At any rate, I've personally had the best results using the Melafix on Cloudy Eye.

I imagine you can use Kanacyn to help out with the problem.  Aquatronics makes it.  Remember to remove the carbon before medicating.
