QuestionHello,
I'm just about to set up my first tank and have some concerns regarding quaranitne. I believe my fish and corals need to be quarantined, do inverts need a quarantine?
Also, as my tank is empty, would I need to quarantine my first additions in a seperate tank? or would the main tank be ok as there will be no others sharing the tank, or would potential disease affect live rock ect. I would be very grateful for your opinion.
Many thanks,
Ruth.
AnswerHello Ruth,
Yes, I would quarintine everything if i could, (sorry, but i dont have a QT setup)
And the purpose of a QT setup is not only to 'seperate' and keep whatever problems may exist from spreading, the other part is to be able to medicate. You would not want to medicate sand or rocks or inverts or anything else other then the criter in QT
good luck
