Red Star Fish

I have a 400litre saltwater tank which has been up and running for just over a year with plenty of live rock. I have yellow tangs, clown fish, damsels, shrimps and hermit crabs in it and a few days ago I introduced a red starfish. I notice tonight that the starfish has a few brownish blotches on it and it hasn't been overly active. It fell off the glass/powerhead yesterday and wonder if these could be bruises or is it likely to be something worse?

Do the brownish blotches seem to be indented at all? if not, they could be some coloring from good water quality, or like you said bruises. i would watch it for a few days, and if they multiply or get larger please send me a follow up and i will help narrow down what it is
