and a coral beauty.. i always feed them once a day, but now im finding i may hve to be gone evry weekend, wil they survive 2 days with no feedings? i have live rock also.. thank you!!

Answer
Hi Tam. Your fish should be fine going without food for two days provided they are well fed all week long when you are home. Make sure you feed them lastly before you leave and first thing when you get back. You may want to offer them an extra feeding before lights out the night before. Getting an algae clip with a plastic mesh area to add some algae paper for the angel and tang to pick at while you are gone is a good idea too. If the clown gets hungry he will pick at it also. The seahorses may be of concern since their feeding requirements are much greater than that of the others. Seahorses must be fed everyday and usually it is recommended that they get fed a few times a day for ultimate health and nutrition. You may want to look into getting a live supply of copepods to culture and add before you go away if you don't already have a good amount of them in your tank. You can test to see how your copepod population is by shining a flashlight into your tank after lights out. After a few seconds you should see some bug-like looking creatures swarming towards the light. This will help to ensure there is some food in your tank for the seahorses as they will pick at these if they can. Other than that your tang, angel and clown will be fine. Anemones only need to be fed once in a while so there is no concern there!
