Question
I think my tank has been contaminated by a nudibranch that was disintegrated by my water flow pump.  Everything is dying or looks terrible.  I have a reef tank with live rock, red ball sponge, flower anenome, unfortunatly all fish are gone along with my scarlet cleaner.  I checked all my water parimeters and everthing checks out fine.  please help Thanks, Cindy

Answer
Cindy,
Wow... good thing I looked at my email before I left for the night!

If you think something has been introduced that is toxic to your fish the best thing you can do at this point is to do a larger than average water change paying close attention to maintaining your salt, pH and water temp in the new water so that it matches your existing tank water.

If possible you may want to add a product called PolyFilter.  It's designed to ionically bond with any organic pollutants as well as heavy metals, etc.  It's like a sponge so you can just toss it anywhere in a filter and not worry about it until it turns dark brown to black.  It will change different colors depending on what it is taking out of the water.  They run around $15.

Best of luck with the tank and keep me posted!
