New reef tank

Question
I am about to start purchasing the equipment for a 180 gal reef tank. I have read some books, visited fish stores, and the more I read and see, the more confused I am. Can you direct me to someone or someplace that can "hold my hand" before I spend a lot of time and money. I would like to have coral, but the info I am getting as to fish, inverts etc, as well as the basic equipment is conflicting.

reefs.org is a good site.  also the sea.org is good as well. Try reef central online I heard thats a great one.  A 180 gallon reef tank will take a good amount of time and money to perfect.  I do not do much with reef tanks.  I have a couple of 75 gallon community fish set-ups.
I do not have the time for a big reef tank, but check out those sites and if you need some more help let me know.
I can give you the basics of equipment if you like.
