Question
QUESTION: i have just been given a baby birob as a gift and don't know what fish I can safely keep in it.  I think Guppys are suitable but to be honest i find them rather dull.  Is it too small for anything else?

ANSWER: Depending on how many gallons it is, you best bet is shrimp or maybe a betta.  Most fish really should have filtration and aeration and room to swim.  Anything smaller then 5 gallons is not a suitable home for a fish or then a betta and some people would even disagree on that.

QUESTION: it is 10 gallons with a full filtration system.

Answer
In 10g you can keep smaller barbs, danios, gouramis, some of the dwarf cichlids and there are even pygmy cories and small catfish you can keep.  A school of pygmy or panda cories and a pair of Honey Gouramis would be nice.  I depends on what type of tank you are looking for.
