black/brown ghost knives

Question
I'm starting a new planted tank and I have always wanted a black ghost knife.  Since I will be having a lot of light on my tank for the plants will that be a problem for the ghost knife? I heard they like low light...what if it has suffiecient hiding places?

Dear Renee,
That sounds like an awesome tank!  They usually do well in a planted tank as long as they have adequate hiding places. Some people use pvc pipes-even the clear tubes so you can see them while they are hiding. Driftwood could also be used. I think it should work out really good as long as he can hide. Best of luck!
