My mollie had stillborn babies

23 16:24:05

Question
On Sunday, I noticed my mollie was a lot thinner from being pregnant before... it was obvious to me she had her babies.  I couldn't find any so I'm assuming they were eaten up.  She's been acting funny the past few days, and the other fish were kinda picking on her just a little bit, so I put her in her breeder net to separate her and to give her some time to relax.  Today (Monday night) I notice she has given birth to two more fry, except they were stillborn.  I added a little salt to the water, but now I realize that may have been bad since I have live plants (a water sprite laceleaf-ceratopteris siliquosa and an amazon-echinodorus and one other but it was given to me and I have no idea what it is).
Anyways... I'm not 100% sure what to do or what is wrong with her.  She's become a little more lively, but not by much.

Answer
Hi Jennifer:  You molly is tired after giving birth and she should perk up again soon.  Just give her a day or so... Even in fish giving birth to live young is intense.  The salt in the water is good even for the plants though you probably don't need to add any more then you have. Later today or tomorrow do a partial water change of 10% and if you have anything really good for her to eat like live brine shrimp then give her a treat... if not then just regular flakes will do.  Please keep me informed on your Molly's progress and I hope this helps... dave
