temperature shock

hi i just want to know how to avoid temperature shock because my dad keeps changing the water and he then just dumps the fish in with out checking the temperature of the water how can i avoid this problem?

Hello

The best way to go is floating the bag of fish in the water. This allows the fish some period of acclimatization. Also try bringing fish home quickly so they do not lose much heat from the bag.
