Goldfish Swimbladder?

My goldfish of almost a year sometimes lays on the ground thw top fin (dorsal?) held erect. is this a swim bladder disorder, and how do I treat it?

Hi Edward,
Swimbladder disease will cause a fish problems maintaining it's balance. They will swim sideways or upside down. You mention that he just lays at the bottom which would mean this is something to do with water quality. I would test your water to see if that is the problem.
