QUESTION: hi David, i had 5 rosy and they kept fighting. went to the shop and he said get 6 more for my community tank. they are still wanting there own space, the 1 i have been treating for the last month has got worse and his tail is falling now. do you know what i can do to help my little friend. i used antibacterial fish remedy but didn't work. can you help me please.

ANSWER: How big is your tank??? How many fish do you have in there???   Try to separate the sick tetra with the bad tail and add malafix for him... or treat the whole tank if you need to... it should help his tail... I suspect its a wound not a disease... keep me posted... dave

QUESTION: hi again my poor tetras tail fell off while trying to catch him, will it grow back if left in isolation or is all hope gone?

Hi Teresa:  I have a kissing gourami that has not had a tail for over two years... and she is just fine... I got her because someone at the aquarium mixed her and several other in a tank with a moray eel... Her tail has not grown back... but in many cases they will... dave
