Question
Hi there. I have a fresh water aquarium containing Mollies, Clown Loaches, Gouramis and 2 bristle nose catfish. I recently started feeding bloodworms on occasions. I have now noticed a blue coloured animal which has a long tail, several small arms, nothing like I have seen before. My guess was it had something to do with the bloodworms. Any ideas what it could be?
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Daniel
Hmmmm...that sounds strange!  What kind of bloodworms did you use-live, frozen, freeze dried?  Usually the frozen and freeze dried ones are safe to use, it's when you use the live ones you can get "other things" or hitchhikers.  How big is this creature?
Any live plants or rocks added recently?
Any chance of getting a picture?  If so, you can send it to christiie911@yahoo.com and put something like fish photo in the subject so I know it's not spam.

Let me know on those questions, I'm not the best at id'ing weird insects aside from the normal nematodes or planaria and such lol.  I have a few sites saved with descriptions and and photos I'll search through to see if I can find something similar to what you described.  With it being blue that should hopefully narrow it down a bit....
