I have a blackmoor about 3" to 4" long with a large white single spot on its head this does not look like white spot ive seen befor there seems to be no other signs of fin damage

Hello,

It is either a fungus or some sort of growth. One of my fish gets white lumps on his head sometimes, and they clear up on their own. If it is a fungus there would probably be other sypmtoms, like darting around the tank, loss of color or loss of appetite. If it is a fungus I recommend treating it with Pimafix. If it is just a growth then it should clear up on its own. You may want to add Melafix to prevent secondary infections though.
