baby fish

hi, my platties recently had some babies, i have got them in a separate breeding tank but i'm not sure when i should put them into the big tank with all my other fish. can you help? thanks

Congrats on the babies! How cool!

The best time to put the babies back with the other fish is when they have grown to about half an inch. But it does depend upon the size of the other fish you have in the main tank. One key is to go by the size of the mouth of your largest fish in the tank. Once they are past that, you should be perfectly fine with adding them back.

Make sure to give them small meals often throughout the day and change their water some everyday for good growth and to prevent sickness.
