My Beta

Question
I have had my Betta for two years and he has done very well, until now.  I have noticed a bump located on his lower lip. His coloring is an off white with very red and blue colorful fins. The bump on his lower lip is an off white like his body. Today when I changed the water and put him in his changing cup, the bump got pale pink and red and it looked like he was bleeding out a small little red dot.  I just checked on him and the red dot is gone and it looks like a small cut and a bit of skin, kinda like a hang nail, no redness.  I use Top fin conditioner for beta's.  I feed him Top fin bloodworms and Betta bits. If there is anymore information you need to know please ask.

Answer
Hi TJ... I would give him a dose or two of bettafix... its a weaker dosage of malafix which is great for wounds.  Make sure he is eating properly and that his diet is very well rounded... It sounds like to me he is a little bit under the weather but the bettafix should help a great deal... dave
