black mollys scales lifted

i have one black male adult molly living in a tank with 7 silver molly fry and a danio, i recently separated the adult male and single male fry to prevent mating, after separation a small patch of scales lifted up on the black molly and two or three fell off, he has no visible flesh and is not bloated, his swimming is fine and his appetite fine. do you know what this is, if its contagious and how to heal it and prevent it from spreading to the other fish?

could have been scale damage during the switch happens to me all the time.
if he seems fine for another few days than it was just scale damage.
if that's the case buy a softer net with smaller holes.
if it gets worse and spreads to your other male then I honestly don't know what to do. try asking another expert or your local fish hobby store.
