feeding catfish and algae eaters

Hello and thank you for your time. I was wondering how the algae eaters know where the algae discs are? Also will the catfish find them too? I now feed sinking shrimp pellets for all my Gourami's and Cordoya Catfish. Hope they will find the algae tabs. Thanks, Pam

You might enjoy these answers.

The catfish can smell your food.  Any kind.  Algae, or meat, and so can the algae eaters.  They will just go to the pellet.  They love a good fresh salad.  You know how we smell fresh-cut grass?  Same thing.

Catfish have little barbels, whiskers.  They help the catfish sift through dirt to eat things hidden there and they feel for particles.

They will find them. :)
