Shark Powerhead

Question
Hi Craig - Merry Christmas to you and Happy Holidays!  I was recently given a 55 gallon tank that had previously been used as a saltwater tank.  I will be using for freshwater and in the process of upgrading from a 29 gallon.  Also included was a pump (elite 802) and 3 Shark Powerheads.  It also came with an undergravel filtration system, but I will not be using that.  I am not familiar with them and have not read enough to convince me.  I plan on using a Marineland Penguin 300 (75 gallon capacity) biowheel system.  I currently use a 150 that I really like.

My question is how do I use these powerheads if I am not going to use them with the undergravel system?  Can I use them as additional aeration or should I even bother?  I think I might have a pretty good product here, but don't know anything about powerheads or how to hook them up.  Can you advise?  Thank you!

Answer
You can use them as either additional air/current flow or you can get the sponge filter adapter that they make for power heads and have additional filtration, either would work fine, you can also just not use them since it sounds like you will already have a great filtration system setup.
