Lake Malawi Cichilds

Hi Ron,
I have a 55 gallon aquarium and have added 6no. lake malawi cichilds for the time being..( waiting for tank to cycle having added established filter ) my question is basically besides the pleco etc. What other fish could i add to this tank or would i be safer to stick to the cichilds ( ive read clown loaches can be compatible ). Also what is the bottom line in adding cichilds from other regions.

Hi Aiden,
 I've never kept clown loaches so I can't comment on that.  Personally I would stick with Lake Malawi cichlids in that tank but ultimately the choice is yours.   You might consider some of the east African catfish, e.g., Synodontis catfish.
