plec problem

Question
over the last 5 days my plec has been constantly sucking the glass and then races to the top of the tank for what its seems like air. i have a good quality filter in the tank and a light that also puts a form of oxygen around the tank, what do you think the problem may be. any other time prior to this he has always lay at the bottom of the tank right under the filter. the tank was last cleaned just before the xmas week

Hi Tracie,
 In general, you should change 25% of the water in your tank once a week, every week.  

  I do not understand "a light that also puts a form of oxygen around the tank".  Can you please explain?
