My betta fishs behavior?

Question
I've had my single red and blue male betta in the same 1-gallon hexagonal tank for about two weeks now.  I have 2 plastic plants in it and i covered the bottom of the tank with clear marbles. The tank is filled with regular tap water and I put in water conditioner drops. There aren't any other fish in his tank, and there are no other fish tanks by his.  Most bettas I've seen aren't very active...mostly just spending their time floating... but my betta is EXTREMELY active, swims around his tank quite rapidly, and does a lot of "flaring." Could it just be that he sees his own reflection on the sides of the tank? Should I get a different tank?

Answer
Hi Allyson;

He is enjoying himself so if I were you I wouldn't change a thing! Fighting for territory and breeding is what bettas live for. The warmer they are the more active they get too. Whatever the reason, he is happy.

Enjoy!
