Question
I had my green puffer in a 3 gallon tank, but I noticed the water kept getting filmy eventhough I had a filter in the tank.  Once I moved out 3 threatening fish out of my 42 gallon commmunity tank I put him in there.  He has not eaten since (2 days ago) and this morning I noticed he is only swimming with his right fin.  The other is there but seems shut back against his body.  This explains his uncontrolled swimming or bobbing behavior last night.  Please help.  I don't want to loose him.  ~Cari

Answer
Hi Cari,
The fact that he isn't eating isn't all that unusual -- often fish are a little out of sorts when they are moved. It just takes them a few days to recover.  The clamped fin though is more troubling.  Could there be another fish in the tank that is bothering him?
